puffy Google coverage bashed

Bashing Google by Margaret Kane, News.com, 7 January 2005:

Apparently, not everyone is a fan of Google.

A recent 60 Minutes report on the search company, by Lesley Stahl, was mocked by both journalists and digerati for being a puff piece.

The report even caught the eye of satellite radio aficionado Howard Stern, who, according to one transcript, made fun of the company's unique job hiring process, which requires employees to take a math test.

Stern used the opportunity to endorse a Google competitor, saying "I Yahoo every time."
